• Dust Jackets: Original jackets. Some shelf wear and chipping and wear on the older Scribner volumes. Poisoned crown was a library book.
• Bindings: All volumes are tight and square. Slight to No leaning.
• Pages: relatively clean. Some have inscriptions on the first page etc. Light to no foxing/tanning to the edges of the 1950s volumes consistent with age. No missing pages. Completely legible.
• Overall: An exceptionally well-preserved set of a masterpiece of historical fiction.
