Ok all ….. Here it is ! I didn’t want to sell this piece but decided it was time to let it go to a new home ! To a collector that knows how big of a historical piece this is !

This is a Piece of Sweets Kendamas HISTORY !!

This was a Sweets Marble ( Cushion Clear) Blue Bayou BETA TESTER MODEL!!!

Yes you read this right , when Sweets R&D were working relentlessly on coming out with a new paint coating that would shake up the paint game in Kendamas …. This is one of them !!

To think that Sulabs cost so much …. This is the first ever Sweets Cushion Clear !!!

They came out with two versions of BETA tester colorways and One was the Blue Bayou ! They released a very limited supply( I think 20) of these so that people could “test” out this new coating , and beat on it , play it and give feedback on the coating !

I was chosen as a Beta Tester of this model !! I paid for an issue of one of these to try out and give feedback about the trial painted coating . I had misplaced this Tama after limited amount of use when we moved , only to be uncovered years later in 8.5-9/10 condition!!

This model was made and soon after the trials of the beta testers were completed and feedback was solid ….. Sweets came out with this and named it “ Cushion Clear “ ! This set the table for some of the most wanted and best playable Kendamas and Tamas around for years until others made their own coatings !

I would keep this stored as a Historical Piece and as a Collectors prized possession as you will Never see one of these Pre- Cushion Clear Beta Test models again!

I can only imagine how many Cushion Clear Tamas that Sweets has sold over the years as it was the new standard for along time running . This one was called the Blue IVY ! Known for its layers of spectra ply wood !
