This listing is for an authentic vintage brass American eagle flagpole finial, dating to the 1940s–1950s based on style, construction, and the original U.S. red revenue/tax stamp still intact on the back. These stamps were used by U.S. Customs and Internal Revenue during the mid-20th century for imported or taxed metal goods and are almost never found still attached today.


The eagle is cast metal with a gold-tone finish, featuring fine feather detail and a classic early-mid century form. Likely used on a military, government, fraternal, or ceremonial indoor flagstaff.
