"Tales of Mystery and Imagination" is a 413 page (plus 32 plates), 8"x10.75" hardcover written by Edgar Allan Poe, illustrated by Harry Clarke and published circa 1923 (no date is noted) by Brentano's (New York). This is the first American edition, issued in a limited number of 2,500 copies. There are thirty-two full-page illustrations by Clarke (eight of which are tipped-in color plates).

In good condition with no dust jacket. The cover shows fairly heavy wear (including a tear to the cloth at the head of the spine), several small spots and stains. The hinges are a bit stressed but intact. There's a multi-line ownership mark to a flyleaf near the front. The tipped-in frontispiece is mostly loose and bent at one corner. The interior is lightly age-toned with smudges to a couple pages.
