A pair of Indonesian, male and female statues.

They are believed to bring fertility, prosperity, and a happy partnership to a household and are often placed in a home's central room, historically on a ceremonial bed or couch. Crafted from materials like wood or terracotta, they reflect the syncretic culture of Java, blending elements of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam.

The male measures 10 3/4” tall by 5 1/4” wide and 4 3/4” long.

The female measures 9.5” tall by 5 1/4” wide and 4.5” long

They have condition issues cosmetically. I took several pictures of each. They appear to be structurally sound.

I can’t be certain of what they are made of. They are not terracotta, possibly wood?

They are absolutely wonderful and symbolic to have in your home.
