Its obverse side features Miguel de Cervantes and the monument to Cervantes by Lorenzo Coullaut Valera in Plaza de España, Madrid. Its reverse side shows Luis Menéndez Pidal’s painting “Encuentro de Don Quijote ante los Duques” (Don Quixote Meeting Before the Dukes).
