This DERU Dachshund is beautifully hand crafted from one piece of fine quality tanned leather. This Vintage item was made by DERU, a German Company known for their unique and intricate design. He stands 5" tall and is 10" long. 

DERU was a German workshop that existed from the 1950s to the early 1970s.
In the 1950s, they manufactured leather toys as teaching materials and delivered them to schools in Germany, but in the 1960s they began manufacturing animals with complex structures.
It is made from a single piece of tanned leather using outstanding cutting, bending, crimping, and riveting techniques.
Now, many years after the workshop disappeared, it is being reevaluated as "German ORIGAMI."
However, to this day, little information has been obtained about the creators and creators of this animal.
