The late '50s and early '60s marked a period of transition, introducing many of the new features that have come to define the Precision Bass.
In 1960, the Precision Bass design shifted from Telecaster-style elements to Stratocaster-inspired features, including a new head shape, contouring, pickguard-mounted electronics, and a four-saddle bridge.
Finished in 3-Color Sunburst and featuring a four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, the 1960 Precision Bass exuded timeless, sophisticated styling.
Features include a premium alder body, Pure Vintage '60 Split-Coil P-Bass pickup, and a 1960 "C"-shaped maple neck with a 7.25"-radius slab rosewood fingerboard and 20 vintage-tall frets, perfectly recreating the sound and feel of the original 1960 model.
