Hematoid rose quartz combines the heart-opening properties of rose quartz with the grounding and protective qualities of hematoid quartz, which is enriched with iron. This rare stone is believed to offer a balance between emotional vulnerability and strength, helping to provide emotional protection during times of crisis, trauma, or transition. It's associated with healing emotional wounds while promoting stability and a connection to oneself and others.

Meaning and properties

Emotional strength and stability: It helps you to open your heart to love while providing the inner strength and stability needed to let go of past hurts.

Protection and grounding: The hematoid inclusions provide grounding and protection, especially during difficult or chaotic periods, helping you feel safe and connected.

Heart and root chakra balance: It's said to work with both the heart chakra (associated with love and emotions) and the root chakra (associated with grounding and security) to create a balance between your emotional and physical states.

Healing and transition: This stone is particularly useful for those going through major life changes, such as illness, surgery, or other forms of crisis, by supporting the healing process.

Ancestor work: Some sources suggest its connection to "blood," the iron content, may be helpful for ancestor work.

How it combines the properties of its components

Rose quartz: Known as the "stone of love," rose quartz helps to open the heart, promote self-love, compassion, and trust, and attract love.

Hematoid quartz: This is a variety of quartz with iron oxide (hematite) inclusions, giving it a red or orangish color. It's known for grounding chaotic energy, promoting clarity, and protecting against negative energy projections.

Combination: By combining these two, hematoid rose quartz is thought to create a stone that allows for deep emotional healing and love, but with a strong foundation of inner strength, protection, and stability.
