Wave-PTX OnCloud R7 Client is preinstalled to allow WIFI Communications to the Commercial DMR Network (Similar to cellular over wifi for smartphones) when a repeater is not in range - this requires a Motorola Cloud Plan - Commercial use - with other R7 or Compatable Motorola Models in addition to a Broadband Gateway when using a private digital repeater - Monthly Motorola Fees may apply

Unlocked Front Panel Programming – Factory Installed Option (Asia Pacific Region Firmware)

This functionality is enabled by default on Motorola R7 radios sold in regions outside of North America.  This means radio frequencies can be programmed from the front keypad and permanently stored. See details below.

If someone informs you that you are unable to use Motorola Factory CPS Software (North America Region) to program this radio - that is no longer accurate. As of 2023 - CPS Software is now global and can be used to program any region radios.  I would direct you to Motorola Support for confirmation.

Serial Numbers that are programmed into firmware in the Radio match the sticker on the back of the radio and the serial number printed on the Label affixed to outside of the Motorola Box.

If you are a licensed Amateur Radio Operator (Part 97) or other user authorized to operate this Radio with the Fully Unlocked Front Panel Programming (Keypad),  The following settings can be modified and configured from the Front Keypad:

• Transmit & Receive Frequency settings
• Frequency Bandwidth Settings (12.5K, 20K, 25K)
• CTCSS Tones & DPL (DCS)
• Frequency Splits
• DMR Timeslots, Color Codes, Entrance Criteria, etc.,
• Copy and Edit Channels and Zones Directly from the Keyboard.

• You are legally required to comply with frequency limitations, power requirements, channel bandwidth and spacing, etc. that are mandated by any applicable government agencies. Regulations vary by country. Please verify your local regulations.

NOT all features can be configured through the Front Panel Programming. There are 100's of settings. You need a cable and computer with CPS for your initial setup

If requested, a 25K Wideband Key will be ordered specifically for this radio from Motorola, allowing Analog wideband capability. 

• The email from Motorola with the entitlement key will be sent directly to the email address you have on file with Motorola. Please provide this email after the sale.   Please register for an Motorola Commercial or Amateur Radio Account if you do not already have one.

• This account will also give you access to the latest CPS programming software to program your Motorola Mototrbo R7 Radio.
  
  

• CPS (Customer Programming Software) that is distributed by Motorola is not Region Specific.  This radio has been programmed by me with a test codeplug by me, and has been backed up to the included USB Backup Drive along with the most recent version of Motorola CPS that was used.

• I provide a backup flash drive with codeplug backup, Mototrbo Tuner backup file and necessary software to restore backups in the event of an emergency. 

• Additional software update management and service contracts may be available for purchase directly from Motorola or your local Motorola Dealer. 

• I stock Genuine Motorola MKN4265A Programming Cables for this R7 Radio in my eBay store. If you add it to the cart at checkout – with a radio purchase – I will refund $9.95 Shipping charge.

• All Domestic (USA) shipping is via USPS Priority Mail - which includes tracking, Insurance and Signature is requested for delivery.   If you wish for the package to be held at a local Post Office so that you can pick it in person up rather than attempting delivery to your address, please contact me at time of sale and we will arrange this. There will be no additional fee.

If there is any type of problem with the Radio - and it needs to be exchanged, etc. - I will issue an RMA and work with you. I used to offer an unconditional 30 day No questions asked refund policy - however buyers remorse or finding it less somewhere else is not grounds for return. Once the box is opened - and the radio is turned on and plastic removed - I take a loss on the item.  Unfortunately, due to a few bad apples - I have had to change the unconditional return policy - if you have an issue - please call the number on the packing slip, email me or send me a message.
