Our decals are designed for easy application. Simply cut them out and follow the application steps below. (Refer to the bottom of this description) Please note that our decals are an inverted print; they will appear backwards upon receiving them. The printer applies a 'white toner' layer over the design, providing a backing that enables the decal to be visible on any color casting. To ensure optimal visibility, our decals are printed on high-quality decal paper with a blue backing. This makes it easy to cut out solid white designs accurately, unlike decals printed on white backing paper which can be challenging to work with. Note that not all decals come with headlight taillights included. Some do and some do not!

✂️ Decal Application Instructions🖌️

• 1. Make sure your models' surface is clean and free of any dust.

• 2. Cut out the decal, cut as close to the graphics as possible to reduce the chances of seeing the clear decal film upon finishing (Do not cut decals in squares or rectangles, decals should be cut with rounded corners).

• 3. Apply water and/or MicroSet to the model surface. Water is ideal with a few drops of MicroSet.

• 4. Soak the cut-out decal in warm distilled water (room temperature is fine) for 20-30 seconds, or until the decal starts to move freely on the backing paper. (The time for this will vary. In some cases you will only need 10 seconds and others will need significantly longer). Don't let the decal remove entirely from the paper as the paper is needed to transfer the decal to the model.

• 5. Remove the decal from the water and place on the model, this can be done with your fingers/ hobby knife or tweezers, just be sure to be gentle while sliding the decal from the paper to the model.

• 6. Once you are happy with the location of the decal take a paper towel, soft paintbrush or a Q-tip and gently press the decal to remove any water from behind.

• 7. Allow the decal to dry. Once dry applying a coat or two of a decal solvent (Micro Sol or Walthers Solvaset) will help hide the decal film. Decal solvents will help the decal conform to your models rivets and details.

• 8. Once you are happy with how the decal looks and it is completely dry, you may apply a gloss coat to the model, this will protect and seal the decal.

Common Application Mistakes

❌ If your decal is stretching or distorting, apply more water to the model or decal may need to be soaked longer.

❌ If the decal is not laying over rivets or other details, let the decal dry after application (it will contour slightly) after the decal has had a little time to dry apply a coat of Micro Sol or Decal set.

❌ DO NOT TOUCH THE DECAL WHILE THE SOLVENTS ARE ON THE DECAL. If you touch the decal and try to correct it while the solvents are on the decal you may damage the decal.

❌ Ensure you are not using cold water;

✅ It is best to use warm distilled water.

✅ Ensure you are using clean distilled water, city water contains minerals that may leave white halos and such marks.
