Medallion is in like new condition. The box is like new as well but the foam cushioning inside the box is beginning to deteriorate from age. It's still pretty good though. The medallion is heavy and weighs in at 11.3 oz. It's 3 & 3/8" wide and 1/4" thick. The insert doesn't say what kind of metal it is made out of; probably bronze which would make sense for the period of art it depicts. It's very pretty to look at and feels quit substantial in your hand.
Medallion shows the Greek God of Healing on one
side and Caduceus, Lamp of Knowledge & local medicinal plants on
the other. The medallion was designed by Merlin Szasz & struck by the
Roger Williams Mint at Attleboro, Massachusetts. Medallion comes in
original box with small paper of explanation.
