A Vintage Silver-gilt & Pearl & Enamel LEpine Fob Pendant Pocket Watch from 1890, with a rare full colour enamel case back and front bezel (with turquoise enamel) , and keeping good time for a 130 year old pocket watch.
The watch just cleaned and overhauled by my watch-maker and comes with 2 years mechanical guarantee.
This is a beautifully made pocket watch, dating from the Victorian period.
THE DIAL: 95% mint, the white and gold enamel dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition with no chips and a few light hairlines. The dial with fine gold hands. Diameter is 22 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, gilded plates and a Bosely regulator, and blue steel screws. An uncut three arm balance, with hairspring and cylinder escapement. The movement overall of very good quality. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping reasonable time for a 130 year old watch.
THE CASE: 97% mint, the silver-gilt case measures an impressive 27 mm. The front and rear covers are excellent, both are hinged and close nice and tightly, the case with wear to gilt finish.
The case in very crisp and clean condition, with and turquoise enamel back with gold fleur-de-lys symbols and small pearls in good order, with some old repairs.
