Eliminate high levels of iron, sulfur, & manganese with our Air Injection System. Using the principle of oxidation, the system forces the contaminates into contact with oxygen. This causes them to oxidize into a larger form which is then trapped by the Filox media in the tank. The Air Injection systems come with a Fleck 2510SXT digital control head that automatically backwashes the system to clean the media and flush the trapped contaminates down the drain.

Single Tank System - Most air injection systems oxidize contaminates either by using a separate air tank or by using a Venturi valve to inject air into the water. The problem with a 2-tank design (besides taking up space) is that the plumbing between the tanks and the control head on the second tank is subjected to the oxidized contaminates, causing them to wear more rapidly and resulting in higher maintenance costs. The problem with the Venturi valve setup is similar (the oxidized contaminates wearing down the plumbing and control head) with the additional problem of clogged valves that constantly have to be cleaned and/or replaced. By utilizing a patented piston, our Air Injection system is able to put the whole oxidation process inside one tank, keeping maintenance costs and down time to a minimum. This is done by creating a bubble of pressurized air at the top of the tank (done during the backwash cycle). The air in the tank then oxidized the contaminates, with the Filox media trapping them. Then every few days the system automatically backwashes itself, rinsing the contaminates off the media and replenishing the air bubble.

Chemical Free - The Air Injection system uses no chemicals, backwashing itself with water to rinse the accumulated contaminates off the media and down the drain. No chemicals means less maintenance, less cost, and no worries about added chemicals in the water.

Complete System - Complete system includes tank, riser tube, deflector, control head, media, and bypass valve. System is shipped in separate boxes to save on shipping costs and make placing the system easier. 1" Bypass Valve - The included stainless steel bypass valve allows for easy connection of the system and provides a quick and easy means to bypass the system and disconnect the system without needing to cut your plumbing. 3/4" is available on request.

Filox Media - This system uses Filox media to trap the oxidized iron, sulfur, and manganese. Filox alone is capable of removing high levels of these contaminates, when combined with the air injection, you get the highest removal capabilities available in a single tank system! A gravel bed underneath promotes good flow and improves filter efficiency.

Flow Rates - This system is capable of treating 6 gallons per minute and requires 6.6 gallons per minute for backwashing. More information on flow rates can be found on the right side of the page.

DIY Installation - We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! If you don't feel confident installing it yourself most plumbers can install it in about 1-2 hours.
