1:18 Motor Max 1964½ Ford Mustang
Convertible - Yellow
The Ford Mustang was originally developed on the Falcon frame and
championed by Lee Iacocca who later went on to head Chrysler Corporation. At
the time of its introduction in 1964, little did Ford or anyone else know how
successful the Mustang would become. It became an icon in the culture of
American muscle cars that caught the other manufactures flat footed and
scrambling to catch up.
As introduced, Ford marketed the Mustang as a 1965 model. It was the Mustang enthusiasts that called
the early Mustang a 1964½ as those produced with a DC generator. Ford changed the electrical system to an AC alternator
four months into its production.
Outwardly, there is no visual difference.
Offered in 1:18 scale is the 1964½ Ford Mustang convertible by Motor Max in Phoenician Yellow with a black interior.
