The Alaris 8110 Syringe module provides pinpoint accuracy and uncompromising safety to healthcare providers who employ syringe pumps to administer fluids, medications, blood, and blood components to a patient. It also has a user-friendly interface and works with the Alaris Point-of-Care unit.

The Alaris 8110 Syringe module supports the Guardrails Suite MX software, which ensures safety in terms of dosage and delivery rate of fluids or medications. It compares the dosage and delivery settings to a standard set of parameters and gives an alert if these exceed safety levels. This medical instrument can accommodate syringe sizes from 1mL up to 60mL, and its firmware can automatically identify the size and fluid volume when a syringe is inserted. It can also tell if a syringe is empty, and the machine will automatically stop. A user can set an alarm within 1 to 60 minutes before an infusion ends, but a separate alarm can be set for continuous and intermittent deliveries.
