The long-awaited RG j.custom 7-string 2023 new model!

The concept of j.custom is very simple.

"A guitar that always pursues high playability and excellent sound, using carefully selected materials and assembled by one of Japan's most skilled craftsmen" - this has never changed since its birth.

With this concept in mind, Ibanez's highest-end electric guitar, j.custom, is manufactured in a domestic workshop to meet the diverse styles, tastes, and requests of guitarists at a high level.

■RG j.custom Wizard-7 5pc Maple/Wenge Neck
This neck is completed by combining 5pc of maple and wenge wood (both thick materials) with sufficient consideration for strength and a natural sound.
This neck shape is based on the ultra-thin Super Wizard shape, which is ideal for players who prefer a light grip, and has been modified for 7-string use.
The neck and back are finished in Velvetouch, which feels as comfortable in your hand as a guitar that has been played for years.

■Makassar Ebony Fingerboard
This special fingerboard features the Tree of Life position inlay, one of the symbols of j.custom design, on Makassar Ebony, which is hard and highly responsive and also features vertical stripes.

■j.custom fret edge treatment
This is a custom treatment that processes the edges into a rounded sphere.
Not only is it necessary to process it into a spherical shape, but it also requires skill to make the shape uniform, and this processing, which can only be done by skilled craftsmen, is done carefully by hand one by one.
You will surely feel the smooth, stress-free feeling when you change the position of your left hand significantly.

■Flame maple (4mm) top & African mahogany body

The African mahogany body has rich mid-low range characteristics, and AAA-grade flame maple with beautiful grain is laminated on it.

■DiMarzio pickups

Equipped with PAF7 pickups arranged for 7-string use based on DiMarzio's standard pickup PAF.

It is a clear and low-power pickup like the classic humbucker of the late 50s, and features mild highs, clear lows, and an open and warm sound.

■Lo-Pro Edge 7 tremolo bridge

Equipped with Lo-Pro Edge 7, an original tremolo with a low profile design.

By designing the unit as low as possible and placing the fine tuners at the rear, the possibility of the tuning being thrown off by hitting it with your hands while playing is reduced.

■Gotoh machine heads

GOTOH machine heads are highly regarded by guitarists around the world for their smooth operation, reliability, and durability.

■Tilted Jack Cavity
The woodwork of the jack where the shielded cable plug is inserted is carved from the strap pin direction toward the inside of the body, unlike typical side jack guitars. This is a device to prevent the cable from being accidentally pulled out by pinching it between the strap.

■Switchcraft Jack
Uses a Switchcraft pipe jack, which is well-known for its robust construction with few problems.

■GOTOH Strap Lock
Equipped with a GOTOH strap lock that can be attached and detached with one touch.

■Easy Access Control Knobs
The control knobs are recessed into the top of the body so that they are as low as possible to avoid interference with your hand when arming, yet at the height that is just about easy to turn.
