This is an exceptional Fukugawa porcelain egg box with original certificate of authenticity from the Danbury Mint.
It was produced exclusively for the Egg Boxes of the World's Great Porcelain Houses Collection by the Danbury Mint. This is Fukugawa's very first porcelain egg box and was made in Arita, Japan in the 1980s. This charming little egg features an attractive artwork of a single yellow jonquil flower among delicately handpainted leaves in cobalt blue underglaze.
The egg measures approximately 2 7/8 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches tall.
The egg box is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or blemishes. Please excuse the reflection of the window on the egg's glossy surface - as you can tell, I used natural lighting for the photos! The item you see is the one you will receive. Please note, the wooden certificate stand is not included in the listing.
Payment due within 2 days of auction end. If there are any issues with your purchase, please contact me before leaving feedback. I will do my very best to make it right!
