Funky Friends Toy Memory Keepsake Sewing Patterns 

These adorable patterns from the Funky Friends Factory are super cute and great for creating the sweetest of keepsake toys. Each design has its own unique character and are great to preserve special fabrics in the form of a beautiful toy.

Each design comes with full size paper patterns and an instruction booklet. In addition to this, Funky Friends also have tutorial videos to help guide you through your bear making journey. 

Ben the Beginner Bear is an unjointed bear who sits up on his own and measures 30cm (12″) when sitting to top of his head. He has a wide, totally flat, single-piece tummy making it perfect for displaying images from t-shirts & baby clothes. 

Materials needed to make Ben:- 
FACE Fabric – 33cm x 55cm wide (13″x 22″ wide) TUMMY Fabric – 33cm x 55cm wide (13″ x 22″ wide) SNOUT/MUZZLE Fabric – 25cm x 55cm wide (10″ x 22″ wide) NOSE Embroidery thread for nose and mouth Felt for nose – 5cm x 5cm wide (2″ x 2″ wide). EYES 18mm black safety eyes PLUS toy stuffing, sewing thread and Iron-on light/medium weight interfacing (this is needed only if you are using thin or very stretchy fabrics or, if you are using a mix of different types of fabrics) 

Buttons the Best Dressed Bear is an unjointed bear with a huge personality and has been designed with beginner bear makers in mind. Buttons the bear is made with a built-in shirt & trousers and has a smart felt waist coat too. With this easy, non-jointed teddy bear pattern you can use pre-loved clothing items to create a dressed memory toy or use all new fabric with the included collar, cuffs & bow tie pattern pieces.

Kip the Keepsake Dog is a playful pup with floppy ears and adorable little tail. The collar and cute bone-shaped name tag are included in the pattern!

Socks the Sitting Cat is a playful kitty with adorable ‘sock’ seams on the feet to replicate Siamese or tuxedo cat markings! He measures 30cm (12") and also has an optional coloured tail tip that can be included or simply left blank. He is an unjointed, sitting toy that would be perfect for playtime or as a keepsake toy. The collar piece is included in the pattern too!

Dynamite the Donkey is a cute baby donkey who measures 38cm (15”) long and 33cm (13”) tall. With his perky, upright ears and cute, chubby tummy he looks great in a variety of fabrics and colours and you can use felt or fleece for his mane.

Lamkins the Lamb is an adorable lamb with just the cutest bow! She is an unjointed, ‘sitting toy’d that has been designed with being a child’s bedtime buddy in mind. She measures 23cm and can be made from most fabrics (but choose fleace for extra snugglines!)

Kelsey the Keepsake Unicorn is an elegant baby unicorn who is perfect for dress-up play and cuddles! She is a perfect pattern for creating keepsake memory toys and has been designed with this in mind. She measures 30cm and can be made from most fabrics (but can look amazing in baby clothes!)

Materials needed to create Kelsey: MAIN FABRIC – 38cm x 110cm wide (15inches x 43 inches wide), CONTRAST FABRIC– 33cm x 55cm wide (13inches x 21½ inches wide) Or you can use between 6 and 8 items of baby clothes for each Unicorn, 4 Buttons (for arm & leg joints) – about 2½cm /1 inch, Strong Thread for button jointing, 12mm Safety Eyes, Ribbon for tutu – 90cm / 37 inches, Tulle (netting) for tutu – 45cm x 240cm / 18 x 95 inches wide, Felt Scraps for flowers/stars on head, Toy Stuffing, Sewing thread, Iron-on light/medium weight interfacing (this is needed only if you are using thin or very stretchy fabrics or, if you are using a mix of different types of fabrics. You do NOT need to use interfacing on the mane and tail and it is recommended to use a thin fabric for these elements)

Melody the Memory Bear is just the sweetest sitting memory bear pattern. The bear turns sentimental fabrics into a cuddly teddy bear that you can cling close to, making it a great pattern for those with lots of pre-loved clothes. Melody is an unjointed 31cm bear and looks great with all fabrics but has been made with keepsake toys in mind.

Materials needed to make Melody: MAIN FABRIC – 45cm x 110cm wide (18″ x 43½” wide), CONTRAST FABRIC (ears and foorpads) – 20cm x 22cm wide (8″ x 8¼” wide)*, 18mm Safety EYES, Embroidery thread for nose and mouth, Scrap of felt for nose and mouth, Toy stuffing, Sewing thread, Iron-on light/medium weight interfacing (this is needed only if you are using thin or very stretchy fabrics or, if you are using a mix of different types of fabrics). *If you are making a baby keepsake bear, you will need approximately 6-8 pieces of baby clothing.

Reggie the Reindeer is a button jointed (but can be made without joints!) cute little reindeer who measures 35cm! Reggie would make a lovely Christmas present for the children or he could be used to decorate your Christmas table.

Materials needed to make Reggie: MAIN FABRIC - 36cm x64cm, TUMMY FABRIC- 15cmx20cm, CONTRAST FABRIC - 16cmx48cm, BOOT FABRIC - 16cmx36cm,  ANTLERS Fabric- 16cm x12cm, Small piece of white Fleece or Fake Fur(or Luxe Cuddle) for the boot fur, Small piece of red stretch fabric (like Velvet/Fleece) for the nose, 12mm safety EYES, Chenille stick/ pipe cleanerfor the antlers, Striped fabric for scarf/Christmas ribbon - 50cm, BUTTONS- 24mm
