This vintage holiday gift box comes from a shop owned by a well-known figure, Harry Moyer. Per his obituary in The Blade newspaper as of his death in 2012 at age 94, he had been Lima, Ohio’s second longest serving mayor from 1974-1985. He was a city advocate and a familiar figure as a decades-long proprietor of Harry Moyer’s Luggage Shop until becoming mayor.
The box measures 7” L x 4” D x 4” H. See pictures for condition. The box and lid are made of sturdy carboard and show expected wear and tear given it’s likely from circa 1950’s. One corner of the lid was torn and has been repaired with super glue.
