A graceful example of mid-century classical revival, this molded black and white cameo brooch captures the romantic elegance of the 1950s with its dancing figures and versatile pin/pendant design.

Style/Era: Classical revival; mid-century; likely late 1950s

Materials: Molded resin cameo; gold-tone base metal

Designer: Unmarked

Origin: Western Germany

Condition: Very good used / vintage condition. Some expected surface wear; no chips or cracks noted. The molded cameo is glued into place per manufacturing; the clear adhesive is visible at one spot near the braided edge upon careful inspection. A previous owner sealed the otherwise open bale loop on the backside with a clear adhesive to secure it for wearing with a chain; but this does not detract from presentation. Secure rollover clasp. No verdigris observed. Ships from a smoke-free environment.

Approx Dimensions: 2" H (excluding bale) x 1 11/16" W

Features: Dual-function pin and pendant design; rollover clasp; pendant bale is front-stamped “WESTERN GERMANY,” though part of the mark is obscured by the frame due to manufacturer placement.
