CONAN THE BUCCANEER, VERSIONS 1-3 BY FRANK FRAZETTA, CIRCA 1965, 11x14" ONE-OF-A-KIND FULL-COLOR PHOTOPRINTS AND BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOSTAT OF THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD VERSIONS OF THE PAINTING, DONE IN THE MID-TO-LATE SIXTIES FOR EVENTUAL USE ON THE 1971 LANCER PAPERBACK COVER-- BUT NEVER PUBLISHED, AND LATER PAINTED OVER-- SO NONE OF THESE VERSIONS EXIST ANY LONGER.
THESE ONE-OF-A-KIND PHOTOSTATS/PHOTOPRINTS, WERE REPRODUCED DECADES AGO DIRECTLY FROM THE ORIGINAL PAINTINGS ON THICK CARD-STOCK PHOTOGRAPHIC PAPER AND CAPTURE EVERY NUANCE OF THE ORIGINAL ART DOWN TO THE ACTUAL CANVAS HE PAINTED ON. 
These photos were taken by Steve Sanderson, of Worldbeater Posters, back in the 1960s during several visits with Frank and Ellie Frazetta in their home in Brooklyn.  The first version, shown in the first photo is a bit blurry and has a bit of glare in the upper left, but clearly shows the initial figure, in chain mail with an iron cross, shell necklace and fur collar-- and in a helmet with long horns. The second version (shown crystal clear in B&W in the second photo, and in color with some glare in the third photo) had the same figure and costume, but the face and the expression was quite different. 
Frank later changed the figure even further, removing the chain mail, iron cross, shell necklace and fur collar and altering his expression again-- and putting him in a helmet with shorter horns. That third version was the one published (see the next-to-last photo). Several years later, Frank again changed the figure completely and had Conan swinging an axe, which is the fourth version he had printed as the now-available poster, which we do not carry (see last photo).
I'm in my late seventies, retired on limited income, and have decided to sell out of my Frazetta, Krenkel, Wrightson, Corben, Steranko, Jeff Jones, George Barr and Neal Adams Collectables, most available nowhere else-- so please take a half hour and have a thorough look through my 100s of listings, as many will soon be gone.
I have four One-Of-A-Kind photoprints of the first three no-longer-existant versions:  One of Version One, Two (one in B&W) of Version Two, and One of Version Three.  The two photoprints of Version Two are a very sharp and clear B&W, and a slightly fuzzy Full-Color one with a bit of glare in the upper left.
