A French 1804-15 model, Marines sword of the Imperial Guard. Leather covered, wire bound grip with two piece brass hilt, showing engraved anchor to the front langet. Strongly curved blade, with single fuller and clipped point. In nice untouched condition, showing staining to the blade and patina to the hilt, lacking scabbard. A good example of a very scarce sword.
