We present a charming pair of expansive landscapes in watercolours, , an oasis in the Sahara, North Africa, attended by camels. The works are by the British painter J Monti, active in the first half of the 20thC- these paintings, which are typical of the artist’ subject, date to c1930s in our opinion . J Monti was a prolific painter working in watercolour and gouache. He often painted scenes of North Africa besides British landscapes.
