Natural Unrefined
Straight out of a clay deposit.


Clay is unprocessed, it'll need refining, sieving, removing large stones & wedging for  plasticity.


Traditionally done through pinching or sedimentation.


I use & kiln fire it, it fires an orange-red terracotta or black if low oxygen firing.


You may or may not want to add temper or grog. I find it fires well without, but larger pieces may need it


I sell refined clay on a different listing, some people prefer to refine it themselves.
