Michel Rostand , (1895-1976) was born in Romania and achieved artistic success while living in Canada. He first studied art at the University of Vienna, later exhibiting works in Paris, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City. He painted landscapes, miniatures, still life, and abstract works. Today, Buckingham Palace and the White House are home to some of his works.

Rostand was known for his mastery of oil painting on canvas, employing a thickly painted impasto technique that added texture and depth to his artworks. His preferred subjects included landscapes, still life, and scenes depicting the activities of small groups of people. Additionally, Rostand ventured into abstract art, utilizing bold colours that stood out starkly against more subdued tones.

ABOUT US

We care about what ends up in landfill and our aim is to recycle and rehome as much as we can! Some of our items are merely obsolete to their previous owners so moving them on to people who appreciate them just makes good sense. Other items are good for parts or repair but they still have a use! Landfill space is becoming an ever-increasing issue so doing what we can now, even in a small way, will help in the long run. So many of our customers choose to buy from us because they don’t want to add to the “waste epidemic”. As a business we believe in Reuse and Recycle: reusing items whenever possible and recycling items where we can, ultimately reducing the National landfill burden.
