The L series is renowned worldwide as Yamaha's finest acoustic guitar.
Even after 40 years since its release, the "L" is still loved by many artists as a masterpiece.
The reason for its existence is that it has always achieved the highest level of sound and playability that the times demand.
It brought an era of acoustic guitars to Japan, continues to evolve with the times, and always responds to the wishes of players.
That is the L series.
It has a small body and all solid wood specifications, with Engelmann spruce on the top and rosewood on the sides and back.
The top material has been treated with the unique "A.R.E (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) treatment. This creates a rich sound as if it has been played for many years! !
The bracing is the same non-scalloped X-bracing as before, but in this renewal, the bracing has been lowered and the shape has been changed to a square. This allows the X-shaped intersection to fit perfectly!
In addition, by adding a side brace that connects the braces on the top and back, the string vibration is transmitted to the back more reliably!
The neck is made of five pieces of mahogany and rosewood, making it more resistant to warping and twisting! In addition, the shape is made 1mm thinner at the 10th fret, improving playability in high positions! In addition, the edges of the fingerboard are cut round to provide a smooth playability that fits in the hand! The back of the head is made of rosewood veneer and volute processing, and the head is also strengthened!
The string height and string pitch have also been changed in the new model, making the 6th string side slightly lower and the 1st string side slightly higher than before, and the string pitch has been widened by 0.3 mm.
The neck joint shape used in the Custom model is adopted. The depth of the dovetail part is further deepened by 4 mm, achieving a rich sustain!
