The John Entwistle connection 1966 “It was in 1966 and I was looking for that Danelectro sound again. I tried everybody’s strings but the E and the A’s just didn’t work. It was the same with Rotosound but there was something about them that was almost there but not quite. To solve the problem I got in touch with James How and told him his D and G strings were great but the E and A didn’t vibrate properly. He told me to take my bass along to Rotosound and have some strings made until they got it right. After a couple of hours, we realised that the problem wasn’t in the wire winding, but in the core of the string. You could see that the strings vibrated in a big circle and that was wrong; the core needed to be thicker. We also made the overall gauges a bit heavier and they sent me away with 12 sets to use. A couple of days later they called and asked if I objected to them putting my name to the strings and selling them commercially. I told them I didn’t mind as long as they kept me supplied with free strings! But then we had to do the same with medium and short scale strings because I had loads of different basses by then. The John Entwistle connection 1966

WARRANTY All product sold have a statutory 12 month warranty from date of purchase Some special items are bundled with extended warranties. This will be seen in the item description. FAULTY RETURNS If you find your product has a fault within the warranty period , please advise us straight away. We will arrange an assessment of you item. If the fault is confirmed, we will either repair or replace the item for you. Unfortunately items found to be faulty due to abuse, mishandling, any sort of unauthorised modification, or misuse will not qualify for warranty repair or replacement. CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS (30 Day Returns) If you do change your mind or need a different product, we are happy to exchange for a new item, or have you return the original item for a refund. If you do return goods because you have changed your mind, please be aware that the cost of returning the goods and and any delivery cost of a replacement product will be your responsibility. If you change you mind before the item is received, and if the action of Return to Sender (RTS) is enacted, we will refund the item price minus a restocking fee of 10% of the item price (and any shipping fee). Refund for RTS will be provided after the item is received at our returns warehouse facility. Please check sizing before ordering , our items containing measurements in the specification / descriptions or images. Opened items returned as 'not fitting', and where measuerments are supplied, will incur a 10% restocking fee, once a return is approved. If your item has been opened in any way, (ie: shrink wrap removed / packaging opened etc) we also can't offer a full refund. There is a cost to us in inspecting, cleaning and repackaing any opened items, as well as relisting them in a secondary market . Any opened returns will will be refunded less a restocking fee of 20%.
