Rare Genuine Continental (Deco Grand) Air Cooled Engine Parts

The part in this listing is genuine Continental.  Gasket.   AA7A305.  Head gasket only for 7 bolt heads.

Fits (to my knowledge) AA8, AU8, AU75, AU85 and late Deco Grand "DE" series go kart engines..

Years ago, I began collecting air cooled engines and the related parts to restore them.  The Continental parts in this current group of listings were purchased from a collector who bought out the inventories of several old distributors.  These parts are incredibly rare and once they are sold, I do not know where I will be able to find more.

I have a full set of dealer manuals and literature but I can only identify as a I know.  ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE DOUBTS BEFORE YOU ORDER!   I have a large collection of new and used air cooled Continental parts.  I will be listing most of them over the coming months.  I will also be listing some of my engine collection, I have 40+ Continental air cooled models.

In the meantime, message me with your requests for parts that I do not have listed and I will try to accommodate you as best as possible.  Please be patient, I get a lot of messages a day and for these rare parts, its all on me to answer.

Continental began producing single cylinder air cooled engines in the early 1950's in response to the growing market of small horsepower engines that was led by Briggs and Stratton and Clinton.  Much of the development was devoted towards military contracts.  The AC5 and AC6 used siphon fed carburetors, the AA7 and AA8 were using conventional float carburetors. Most were used on reel lawn mowers.  With a reputation for high quality and good durability, Sears' David Bradley garden tractor division contracted with Continental to power the legendary walk behind tractors.  The AU7 and AU8 were produced, a AU10 and AU12, as well as some rare vertical shaft engines.  Later, the AU75 and AU85 became highly popular in the go kart and quarter midget leagues.  Continental spun off the air cooled division to focus on the aviation and liquid cooled markets and the air cooled models began being manufactured under the Deco Grand label.  Even today, quarter midget enthusiasts build copies of these great engines producing high horsepower and winning races.
