On offer for you is this small antique Victorian rock crystal pendant in solid 9ct yellow gold.
It features a natural rock crystal (or clear quartz) cabochon gemstone that measures 13.6mm x 9.8m in size. The rock crystal has been bezel set and foiled to the base with a pink foil the colour of bubble-gum. The magnifying effect of the quartz amplifies the foil to seem as if the whole gem is a bright pink colour. These foil backed gems were a common setting to the time period, designed to catch candle light to make the gem seem alive with inner fire
The crystal has been framed with a star burst design around the gold border and accented with a detailed twisted rope surround. The white enamel is in surprisingly good condition for the age of this piece. The reverse of the pendant shows an inscription engraved for the name 'Lillian'. The inscription was performed closer to the art deco era by the style of the font, and is not too deep into the gold should you wish to buff it out.
The pendant is made from solid yellow gold in a hollow design, making it quite light and easy to wear. It is a petite size of 24mm x 14.7mm. As this pendant is foiled, it is important to not get it wet to preserve the foil.

Excellent Used Antique Condition. The white enamel is in very good condition with minimal wear. The pink foiling has some crackling and flaking.
