I got this frame as a complete bike that had been stored outside by the previous owner (the son of the original owner). Cosmetically it looks OK from far away, but the paint is faded and there are surface rust spots visible. The seatpost clamp looks horrific but surprisingly works. All of the components came out without any issues and there were no rust flakes in the bottom bracket. No bubbles in the paint or other signs of structural rust. The seatpost and stem came out without too much effort and the BB threads are good. The original Deore XT headset feels a little rough, but still spins well enough to be serviceable. I think with a cleaning/repacking it can be used no problem. I've taken photos of any significant rust spots that I could find so you can make an informed purchase. It's a very nice high end frame but sadly has been the victim of neglect and is priced accordingly.
