FIRE STARTER KIT + BLOW PIPE.

Wooden Handle, Flint Steel & Striker + Blow Pipe + Leather cord + Holder.

What a great fire starter set. With a very handy 8mm diamiter rod and wood handle approx 4.5"(11,5cm) long.

This fire starter can be used for many activities including camping, outdoor survival, army/military, hunting, scouting, adventure holidays, barbeques and much more and with the BLOW PIPE it can help to get a fire going.

This fire striker is a must-have for every survival kit. A fire striker is a waterproof and fireproof rod.  Fire strikers are impervious to moisture and damp, which is a great advantage over other lighters. Magnesium reaches an extremely high temperature of over 2000°C, which makes the production of a flame significantly easier than with conventional fire strikers. The fire striker also features a ruler and bottle opener. The forged fire striker will last for approx. 15,000+ ignitions.

Please note: prior to first use the flint/ferro rod part is black with a protective coating. Therefore it may be necessary to rub the steel tool/striker a few times in the same spot so the coating disappears - now the fire striker is ready for use.

TOP TIPS = "BIGGER IS BETTER" - If you have not used before then opt for the largest rod you can affored the thicker and longer the better, as will be easier to use. Please note like alot of ferro rods these flints come with a protective film over them. So when you start you dont get best performance until a few scraps have taken off the outer layer. This is when a broken hacksaw blade makes a really good striker. Then you will find with practice and use you will get the best perforance from your rod. With practice and trying different strikers and tinder materials you will soon master these rods. Check out Youtube (Search "How to use a Ferro Rod") to see how its done. Try a cotton wool ball as your tinder - GREAT FUN.
