The book was published in 1753 by Didot in Paris and this map is an original from that date - it's not a later reproduction.

The cartography was by the notable French geographer Jacque-Nicolas Bellin. 

It shows a little ageing to the paper and has its original folds, but it's in a very presentable condition for almost 275 years of age.

It measures around 29.5 x 22cm.
