For your consideration is a solid black (N2) opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia.  This one features modestly bright (2.5/5) royal blue and a little aqua. The buff-top, oval-cut stone weighs 1.1 carats.  It measures 9.5mm long by 7.5mm wide by 2mm thick. Crack-free, but fairly thin. Will require some creative setting.  As ever, this is a 100% natural, untreated gemstone. 

PLEASE NOTE: you are looking at enlarged images of a small gemstone. Flaws or blemishes may not be visable to the naked eye!  White lines or spots that do not remain in the same place are reflections from the highly polished surface.
