Old New Guinea Eastern Highlands pipe

Beautifully decorated old Eastern Highlands pipe from New Guinea.  Shows signs of heavy use with chard interior and smooth patina on exterior.  Often these pipes have the cone missing as it is detachable.  There are two similar examples I have shown in the " New Guinea Highlands, Art from the Jolika Collection" page276.  The design detail is very distinctive from this area.
