On offer is a Denco Blue, Range 4T coil, manufactured by Denco [Clacton] Limited in England during the 1960’s. This example is one of the early version coils, where the entire base was not populated with pins, and there is a small lug to identify the space between pins 1 & 9 on the socket.

It measures about 2.00 inches high [including the base pins] x 0.625 inches diameter. These coils were sold pre-wound, covered a very wide range of frequencies and are mounted either by plugging into a B9A [noval] valve base or by the plastic nut on the top of the former and having the wires soldered directly on to the pins.

This coil is a 'Blue 4T' [aerial coil with base input winding] which covers 20 metres to 60 metres, or 5MHz to 15MHz if you prefer the frequency coverage.

There is NO paperwork and screening can with the coil, but there is a lot of data and other details freely available on the internet.

This is an ideal opportunity to own one of these coils which are becoming more difficult to find and necessary for home construction or completion of many of the popular vintage radio receiver and test instrument projects published in the 1960s and 1970s wireless magazines. It can also be used to enhance the range of existing projects which have missing or incomplete ranges of coils.

This condition and description can better be seen from the photographs which are of the actual coil and can on offer for sale. Please note that I do have other coils listed, but many have been sold, so I do not have the complete ranges of any of the types.
