Up for sale is an extremely rare hollowed, also known as geode or enhydro, Indonesian petrified wood. This piece measures approx. 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 inches in length and height and 2 1/4 by 3 inches wide at the front. The specimen weighs 614 grams.

For those who are polishers, these would make great slabs.

Indonesia's petrified wood mainly comes from the West Java region from areas such as Banten and Mount Halimun Salak National Park.

Petrified wood such as the above that is geodized is only found in Indonesia. The only petrified wood I know that is similar in agatization, but without this level of enhydro, is from the Blue Forest Petrified Wood region in Eden Valley, Wyoming, U.S.A.
