This listing is for a brand-new KingSpec KSD-ZF18.6-064MS 64GB 1.8″ ZIF SSD, ideal as a replacement for older 1.8″ ZIF hard drives (ultraportable laptops, UMPCs, and certain media players).

🧩 Compatibility (very important)
• Designed for systems that originally shipped with a 1.8″ 40-pin ZIF/PATA hard drive or SSD.
• Common use cases include certain older ultraportable laptops, UMPCs, first-gen MacBook Air, and media players like some Microsoft Zune / iPod / Archos models – but NOT all versions of those devices are compatible. Easy Technology+1
• Not compatible with standard 2.5″ SATA, mSATA, M.2, or 44-pin IDE connectors.

🚀 Performance expectations
• This is much faster and more shock-resistant than an old spinning 1.8″ HDD, and a great upgrade for compatible legacy devices.
• However, it will NOT perform like modern SATA or NVMe SSDs – real-world speeds are around 70–90MB/s read and 40–50MB/s write, limited by the older PATA/ZIF interface. 
• If you need very high speeds, a modern SATA/M.2 SSD in a newer system is a better choice.
