This excellent Moorcroft plate was designed by Philip Richardson, who was art master at the Friends School, Saffron Walden.

Reeds at Sunset is one of three designs commissioned by Moorcroft in the period following Walter's retirement in 1987.

The design is featured on page 169 of Paul Atterbury's Moorcroft reference book.

This piece dates from the late 1980s.

It measures 10¼ inches in diameter.
