Mike
Fortin designed. Sounds incredible and a
great solution for recording, PA-direct, home-playing or feeding the return
loop on a large amp.
The
RD1H Diavolo is a single channel, all tube (12AX7 (2) / 12AU7 (1)), 1 watt amp head with
a 3 way Tone Stack Shift for mid-range contour. It has a class A discrete
instrument level FX loop and a speaker emulated XLR direct output with dummy
load for silent operation and ground lift.
The
output tube (12AU7 – dual triode) is configured as push-pull stage which I
think sounds a lot better than single-ended (Hey Champ!) designs that sound “honky”
to my ears. Plenty of YouTubes to check
out and I imagine you’ll also be blown away when you first play through
it.
One
caveat I should mention is keep the volume at 3 o’clock or less or the amp can
flub out a bit. No worries as it reaches
full volume and scorching gain before that.
This
RD1H was offered (discontinued) in Gray exclusively in the USA at Musicians
Friend and Guitar Center. This is an
unopened head in original box
