English Three Piece Tea Set Sterling Silver John Terry 1815 London Crests
Georgian era English sterling silver three-piece tea set, including teapot, creamer and two-handled sugar bowl, made by Samuel Hennell & John Terry (1814) and J. E. Terry & Co. (1815) of London. All pieces have oval form body in fluted designs with gadroon rims and applied ball feet. The teapot has carved wooden handle and finial. The set bears engraved Lion crest and heraldic coat of arms.
This majestic set measures:
the tea pot is 10 1/2" wide across the handle and the spout, 5 1/4" tall, weighing 594.5 grams,
sugar bowl is 8 3/8" wide across the handles, 4 1/4" tall, 395.8 grams,
creamer is 6 1/4" wide from the handle to spout, 3 3/4" tall, 205 grams.
Total weight is 1195.3 grams or 38.55 ozs Troy.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no repairs, removals or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
