As of early 2025 there are dozens of clones of this part that appear to be coming out of China and also cost a few $$ less. We have heard multiple complaints about the lower quality of these competitive products that sell on ebay and other similar platforms. We have been making this part for many years and have sold over 6,000 units and is considered the best option available.

If you prefer to have a better International buying experience please consider the faster USPS Priority that takes 6-16 days- typically but that too can suffer from delays. UPS is the only and best option for a quick delivery without mystery.
We now also offer the quicker, more expensive Priority International Shipping for international shipments as well as UPS Worldwide. Both of these services have proven to be great for international buyers.
Unfortunately Ebay will not allow us to get refunded for lost shipments even when we use "their" low cost First Class labels which and their contracted shipping services through 3rd party shippers.

USA customers- we have had great success with the low cost USPS First Class, Ground Advantage and other low cost options so you're fine to select the slower shipping options but consider UPS and USPS Priority also as they are better/quicker.

Gen1 (R50, R52 and R53- see notes below) MINI owners with the very common low oil pressure warning are likely needing this replacement spring plunger to solve the issue. This nests into the base of the Oil Filter Housing and is compressed when the oil filter is installed and when it breaks will cause a low oil pressure light.
Simple to install in minutes after the old part is removed. Simply line up the 3 prongs in the existing holes in the base of the oil filter housing and press it into place.
This is a 3D printed part and is sometimes made with a mix of white or black components. We have sold well over 6,000 of these and had maybe 3 break during install and we replaced those for free. We have not had any fail after being installed.
This will ONLY fit the W11 engine which includes the following models:
R50: 2002-2006 Hatchback Cooper manual transmission ONLY
R53: 2002-2006 Hatchback Cooper S
R52: 2004-2008 Convertible Cooper
R52: 2004-2008 Convertible Cooper S
Will NOT fit the Gen2 MINI models.
Do not purchase this hoping it will fit a R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60 or R61. It will NOT fit.
