This great antique oval Northwest Coast Salish carrying basket has two loop handles and features black imbricated designs of butterflies on its sides,  I believe it dates to the first quarter of the 20th c. It is 14" x 6" One of the basket hinge loops has broken away from the body of the basket.  it is present and  beset in place for display.  There is some minor scattered damage and losses I have illustrated in our photos..
