Easier for our buyers to purchase from the beginning a combination of linear Polarizing Filter and a Lambda Retaining Plate since the above are usually used in tandem. Polarizing Filter and Lambda Plate are fully laminated. Polarizers are manufactured via cold lamination and Lambda Plate is manufactured via Hot Lamination. Each item has its separate Specification Sheet where the buyer can find the answers to almost all of its potential questions. Note: There are in usage two types of Lambda retaining plates: Group one – Laminated and Group two – Glass Mounted no lamination involved. Visual some differences are noticed due to the technology used. Laminated plates are manufactured via hot lamination and at the line of contact between active layer and neutral protection layers there is a micrometric melted layer combining the last two bringing some more colors.. In group two – full Lambda retaining plates – the effect is reversed but less noticeable. Manufacturing price for laminated plates is much lower since large sheets are cut via multiple spindle micro mills or laser cutters. One of disadvantages of laminated plates is a not very even color repartition under a certain angle but their very low price is keeping them in the competition.(For laser applications and special scientific research glass mounted (no lamination involved) retaining plates - glass plus active layer are usually the chosen choice.) Our specs are showing features of the active layer only. Thanks for visiting and looking |
