Invicta Akula 46470

This is a somewhat unusual build as it has a two piece case. The main 52mm circular case contains the functionality of the timepiece, movement, bezel, crown etc. The second piece is a 54mm dia black cradle which screws to the main case and supports the silicon strap. This is a very industrial no nonsense looking watch. The finishing on the stainless steel case is matt, with the unidirectional bezel being coin edge machined for grip. The mechanical rotation of the bezel is first rate with a solid click and no back lash.

The dial is abalone with all it’s beautiful hues. Three sub dials are finished in high gloss abalone. Sub dials support chronograph functions of the Swiss Made Ronda 5040.D 13 jewel quartz movement. It doesn’t get much better than this movement in the quartz world with timing functions of 1/10 seconds, sweep seconds and accumulated minutes.

Round white lumed indices outlined in silver sit on top of a black chapter ring. Large hour and minute hands are finished in white lume with the main sweep seconds hand also finished in white. A 10mm dia edge grooved crown can be found in the three o’clock position flanked by rectangular cross hatched stainless chronograph pushers.

The black cradle that supports the main case has been top radiused and presents as a smooth curve. In practice this feature prevents clothing obstruction when wearing the timepiece. The cradle also supports the silicon strap which is 34mm wide and 10mm thick at the cradle, tapering to 26mm wide and 5mm thick at the buckle. The strap is soft and flexible allowing for a comfortable wrist placement. A large polished stainless buckle engraved with the Invicta logo completes what is a large industrial looking timepiece.

Watch is new with tag and plastics attached. Comes with paperwork in an Invicta presentation case and will be sent for free via Express Post within the land of Oz.

I have been fielding enquiries recently in relation to the authenticity of the watches I sell and also customers wanting all plastics removed from the watches when being photographed.

Firstly all my watches are certainly authentic. I do not sell, replica watches all though I do know that replica Invicta's do exist as I have myself unknowingly purchase a couple. My advice is not to buy Invicta watches where the country of origin is China. Having said that both replica's I purchased were from the United States, obviously marketed through Chinese affiliates in that country. Try to buy from reputable sellers.

If I describe a watch as new, then it is new and generally is wrapped in the manufacture's plastics. I do remove and replace some but not all of these plastics for photographic clarity. Most of my customers prefer an unmolested product where plastics are concerned however if you are genuine in your enquiry and prefer that all plastics be removed for photographic purposes then contact me and I will oblige.
