That means a full two inch square piece of metal needs to fit into the hitch receiver. If your hitch receiver does not have a full two inches of space or has significantly more than a two inch space then you likely do not have a two inch hitch receiver and this product will ether not fit or will not fit properly.
All hitch covers are brand new and all metal. Hitch covers do not come with a pin. You should be able to use the same pin from your trailer hitch ball mount. You may also want to consider getting a locking pin to prevent theft.
