I typically wear a size Large and this garment fits me snuggly, so I would suggest a Medium for comfort and practicality.  Shaped cups probably fits up to a D cup. 

Length from shoulder to hem 43"

Shoulder to shoulder: 17"

Chest: 44", but definitely doesn't allow for any give

Although the set would have been intended for night wear, it is modest enough and elegant enough for other applications

Very well made, no spots, stains, rips, tears, pilling.  Excellent condition
