This 5,000 Afghani note was issued in 1993 to address the inflation brought about by the Soviet invasion and the Afghan Civil War. Its colors are violet, green, orange, brown, and blue. Its obverse side features the Afghanistan Bank seal and the Pul-e Khishti Mosque in Kabul. Its reverse side features the mausoleum of Ahmad Shah Durrani in Kandahar. Security features of the note include a solid violet security thread with printed 5000 and text and the bank seal watermark. The note measures 167 mm long and 73 mm wide and is signed by Bank Governor Mohammad Hakin and Finance Minister Abdul Karim Khalili. This note is in uncirculated condition.
