Invicta Sea Spider NHL 43424

I have a limited number of American NHL inspired Limited Edition Sea Spider models. As with other Limited Edition pieces from Invicta whether it be, Star Wars, Jason Taylor, Shaq or Marvel Comics, the fit and finish on these pieces is first rate. These models are 42mm in dia and 13mm thick which puts them in the sweet spot, able to be worn by a man or woman.

The dial is deep dished which large Batton style indices finished in white lume, outlined in silver. Large hour and minute hands are finished in white lume and framed in silver. Three sub dials are deep set into the dial and support chronograph functions of elapsed seconds and accumulated minutes of the Seiko VD54 quartz movement. Just to change things up a little the high torque version of this movement is used so the sub dials rotate, referenced against a fixed point rather than the norm of a sweeping hand. The third sub dial in the three o’clock position counts down the 24hr night day clock.

Three dimensional machining abounds on these pieces. Large vertical slats extend from the fixed bezel down the sides of the case. Four bezel tower accents rise upward from the bracelet lugs and the large crown and chronograph pushers are to be found on the right side of the case. The beautifully clear “Flame Fusion” crystal has a slight bevel where it rises above the bezel.

A polyurethane bracelet has been utilised and provides for a very comfortable wrist fit and almost no weight. Link removal is by way of threaded bars, the end screws also providing attractive bracelet accents. Invicta have seen fit to utilise my favourite double locking over-centre deployment clasp machined from a solid piece of stainless steel. The clasp is also fitted with micro adjustment. A screw down back and double crown compression gasket provides for a water resistance rating of up to 100 metres.

These are beautifully designed and finished Limited Edition timepieces by Invicta for not a lot of dollars. Watches are new with plastics attached. They come in NHL Limited Edition Presentation cases and will be sent free via Express Post within the land of Oz.

I have been fielding enquiries recently in relation to the authenticity of the watches I sell and also customers wanting all plastics removed from the watches when being photographed.

Firstly all my watches are certainly authentic. I do not sell, replica watches all though I do know that replica Invicta's do exist as I have myself unknowingly purchase a couple. My advice is not to buy Invicta watches where the country of origin is China. Having said that both replica's I purchased were from the United States, obviously marketed through Chinese affiliates in that country. Try to buy from reputable sellers.

If I describe a watch as new, then it is new and generally is wrapped in the manufacture's plastics. I do remove and replace some but not all of these plastics for photographic clarity. Most of my customers prefer an unmolested product where plastics are concerned however if you are genuine in your enquiry and prefer that all plastics be removed for photographic purposes then contact me and I will oblige.
