Vintage Japanese Kimono Silk Juban (Nagajuban) Worn Under Kimono Red & White Bamboo Pattern Hand Sewn
This exquisite piece has been in our family for many years.
This is a beautiful vintage Japanese silk juban kimono with traditional Japanese bamboo print.
It is a juban (nagajuban) that is worn under a kimono. A juban is just long enough so that it hangs to about 15 centimeters from the floor when put on, while a kimono is quite long, with its length adjusted when being put on. A replaceable collar, conventionally white, is sewn onto the juban.
Absolutely wonderful and in good to fair condition considering its a vintage piece. There are some stains and some flaws. Please see the photos. Many more photos are available.
These are rare and collectable. Totally suitable for framing.
